CHICK WEBB RECREATION CENTER – RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
Earlier this month, members of CAM Construction’s team attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Chick Webb Recreation Center.
As Construction Manager on this project, we had the privilege of breathing new life into a community landmark originally built in 1947. At over 32,000 square feet, this historic facility has been thoughtfully renovated and expanded to serve generations to come.
Here’s a glimpse at what this transformation involved:
✅ 11,500 sq ft addition housing a brand-new gym with an indoor basketball court, walking track, and multi-purpose room
✅ A renovated pool with updated locker rooms
✅ Multi-purpose rooms for games, arts, and crafts
✅ A music recording room with a soundproofed booth
✅ A spin studio and fitness center
Projects like this one remind us why we do what we do. The Chick Webb Recreation Center isn’t just a building; it’s a gathering place, a safe haven, and a source of pride for the community it serves. We’re honored to have played a role in its next chapter, and we hope the facility inspires the next community to play, grow, and pursue their passions. As always, we would like to thank our design partners GWWO Architects for their tremendous work throughout the project. Check out the video in the link below to view the ceremony.
